“The buyer should have asked how to turn it on once they received it because the battery tends to overheat in the sun or any place where the temperature is hot. Perhaps I should send instructions on how to reset it by taking out the battery and put it back in then press both the volume and power buttons hard enough to wait for it to power on. Aside from that I think the reason it was also damaged was because I tried to pull off the screen protector. If MyTeCell is willing, I can try the process of ordering a kit to mail my old phone with instructions on how to turn it on.” READ LESS

“I was paid. It was easy. However, I sent what I still believe was a flawless condition phone which uSell said they would pay $115 for, only to be told that there were dents on the bottom so they would only pay $91. The ONLY way to determine if their allegations about dents were correct was to decline the offer and have the phone mailed back. They provided no pictures of the alleged damage. The ONLY way to determine if their allegations about dents were correct was to decline the offer and have the phone mailed back. They provided no pictures of the alleged damage. (It was at this point I learned that the buyer was actually MyTeCell, not uSell which had provided the initial quote.) The phone was always in a case and never dropped. I examined it carefully before packing it very, very carefully in multiple layers of bubble wrap. I still don't believe that I overlooked dents on it when I prepared it for shipping. However, it wasn't worth the hassle of getting it back to resell for about $25. If uSell, or in this case its affiliate MyTeCell, won't provide proof of alleged damage, I suggest anyone selling through them take very detailed pictures of their phone before mailing it in so that they can dispute allegations of damage. I believe that the problem was caused by the fact that MyTeCell, rather than uSell which gave the initial quote, ended up buying the phone. I had no similar problems with an iPhone actually purchased by uSell at the same time. I ended up feeling like I"d been the victim of a bait and switch. uSell gave me quotes on 2 phones and honored the quote on the one they actually bought (my husband's phone which had been treated more roughly.) However, another company, MyTeCell bought this phone (which was actually in better condition) and was unwilling to honor the initial quote based on (alleged) damage. Rereading the reviews on MyTeCell, I see that I am not the only one who has had this experience. uSell's reviews are much better. Maybe uSell should consider dropping its relationship with MyTeSell.” READ LESS

“Took them several weeks to finally send the shipping envelope. Then, sent in an iPhone in pristine condition and they downgraded the value by about 25% because the had it had a “slight discoloration”. The phone had zero scratches, dent, nicks, anything but apparently had a slight discoloration. I had the option to have them return the phone and sell it somewhere else but it took more ham 4 weeks just to receive the shipping box, send it in, and receive the offer. Didn’t really think it was worth the hassle to ask for the phone back. Super disappointed in the bait and switch treatment. ” READ LESS

“Whoever evaluated the condition of my phone was either a poor evaluator or was just dishonest. I said the phone was flawless and I got an email saying it was in good condition because of some scratches near the stylus. I had the phone returned to me and took it to GameStop at the local mall where they said it was perfect and gave me $108 for it. $4 less than the original uSell offer. ” READ LESS
