“My phone was delivered to it's destination for 10 days, and I hadn't heard anything. So, after emailing for an update, they claimed it hadn't arrived, but they'd pay me anyway. So, my account showed as paid, but again for 10 days I hadn't received payment. I had to email again to ask about my payment and the claim was that it was denied. I shouldn't have to continually email for these steps to occur. And I find it hard to believe that the payment was denied, but upon inquiring about it, it went through immediately no problem. My interaction with uSell was good. I reached out about the non-payment and payment was sent immediately. It's the Whiz Cells that I'm not so sure about.” READ LESS

“I sold my HTC One, in near perfect condition, to The Whiz Cells. Once they received the phone they claimed it was damaged. After questioning the reported damage they indicated HTC One's have a standard manufacturer camera defect calling it a "purple haze" in low light. They then tried to low ball their original offer. After complaining, they did agree to return the phone to me, at their cost. However ,fundamentally I felt their "low ball" offer and report of damage was a business strategy they use to not pay sellers their full price under the disguise of "manufacturer defects." They cited this being a known issue with HTC and asked me to Google it. There was nothing wrong with my phone and after Googling it, HTC simply manufacturer their phones with cameras who tend to have a purple haze in low light. It's not a defect or damaged, it's simply how HTC cameras work. You can Google lots of quirks about every cell phone manufacturer on the market. For example the new Iphone 6 Plus bending. This doesn't mean the phone is "damaged" it's simply the reality of the product. Damage is when somethings wrong with the phone that's not standard to how the phone was manufactured, such as a scratch on the screen, a button that no longer works or is broken off. This is damage, not HTC's are known to have a purple haze in low light with their cameras, as a common standard, and then try and claim it as damage so you can swindle a seller out of a lower price. Even though The Whiz Cells returned my phone, at their expense as they should, I wouldn't recommend them as a buyer. I've sold lots of cell phones online and this is the first time I've had a buyer try to make a damage claimed based on realities of how a phone is manufactured. Of course they are going to claim it's not standard to HTC phones, but after Googling it per their instructions, it's clear it is.” READ LESS
